The album includes 12 beautifully performed multi- voice a cappella tracks, in styles ranging from traditional barbershop to contemporary favorites in unique arrangements. In addition to the carefully prepared musical journey, the album itself is specially designed, and includes a packet of personal information and pictures. IMPORTANT UPDATE: August 1, 2005 Perfect Fourth is on track for its August debut - the CD is well over half-way complete. However, bass singer James Wienke will be out of town on the planned August 15th date. Therefore, so all members could be available for the premiere, the new release date will be August 23rd. Thank you for your understanding. -TRU Records Below, a story by lead singer, Mike Martin, about P4's progress on "Rushing Forward" UPDATED: July 20, 2005 ISSUE 3 "Today, July 20th, some members of Perfect Fourth got together to continue working on recording our CD. It was a long and tiring day, but now we are almost all the way done with recording! Here are a few pics from the day: (Click a thumbnail to enlarge it in a new window) Sam sings David, our producer, making Sam & Mike Mike being distracted by that "Homeward Bound" sure everything sounds sweet recording "Blackbird" amazingly good-looking guy in the mirror!! "Making this CD has been an experience that I will treasure forever. It is a long and tiring process, but it is always worth it to hear what beautiful music we have created. All the notes and beats have to fit together perfectly in order for everything to sound right, and when it does sound right, it is a beautiful thing." - Mike, upon completion of his personal recording journey. ISSUE 2 "On Saturday, July 9th, we are going to start recording our CD! We should be finished recording all the music by the 12th. Then we have to put all of it together and start making the copies of the CDs. In a couple weeks, there will be a link on the front page of this site that will take you to the order form for the CD." ISSUE 1 "We are hard at work on our first CD and it's coming along very nicely. First, I would like to thank Toby from Blue Jupiter for sending us some of the music that will be on our CD. This is an exciting time for us as we have begun the process of learning the music. It is neat to see how all the parts fit with each other. This is a special CD because not only will it have some songs arranged for us by Blue Jupiter, but it will feature songs arranged by myself, Mike, and by Sam. Also, James and Sam will have a duet on there that you won't want to miss! As of now, we have not started to record yet. We are still learning and practicing the music. We plan to start recording late next week and have the CD for sale by mid-August. We do not have the final price for the CD yet, but as soon as we figure out the price, we will post it online.
